Together we celebrate Naarm’s (Melbourne) creative communities
who inspire, shape culture and encourage others to create their own unique experiences
around what they stand for.

“As artists,
we can measure creativity by how far it
spreads.”

HEATWAVES is a series of micro documentaries exploring the underdogs of Australia’s creative landscape.

Together we build
a vibrant space that fuels inspiration and celebrates diverse voices.

By gathering a community of passionate filmmakers, we capture Artists in motion.

The approach to this documentary series works with emerging directors on every episode, bringing a unique cross-collaboration between two creative worlds - creating new connections
within the community.

Igniting
Creative
Waves

Each episode is a sanctuary
for authentic expression and celebration of a diverse group of individuals.

Together we rewrite the creative landscape, igniting
a revolution of new ideas.

Presenting
the underdogs
of Melbourne
on the global stage.

WHO ARE WE?

WHO ARE WE?

We are a community of passionate filmmakers based on the unceded, sovereign land and waters of the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

We’re here for our passion for storytelling and
shining light on the diverse nation we stand on.
Together, we create a warm, open-hearted space for emerging talents we endure to grow together with.

Have you got a story to share?

Or want to be part of this movement?

our goal is to shine a light on the underdogs of Naarm and make you go
”WHAT THE F*&%#, I HAD NO IDEA WE HAD ALL THESE CREATIVE MAD CATS IN MELBOURNE!.”
